On Nov. 2, Cassim Shepard will present Citymakers: The Culture and Craft of Practical Urbanism: a cross-disciplinary volume to argue for a more expansive understanding of how, and by whom, cities are made today. Including landscape designers, housing advocates, photographers, hackers, architects, ecologists, community organizers, activists, and artists, Citymakers presents the principles of those who work to make cities more equitable and sustainable.

A founding editor of Urban Omnibus, Shepard explores ideas that are tested in New York City but applicable to cities everywhere.
